Ron aston - Chairman
Ron has over 35 years’ oil & gas experience in financing and senior management roles for multinational companies including Conoco, Total, Permier Oil and Talisman Energy where he retired as Senior Vice-President and Country Manager of Malaysia. He was most recently deputy chairman of Tamarind Energy (Blackstone PE funded).
Kenneth was a senior partner at Shearman & Sterling where he was Head of English Law Practice, Head of Global Project Finance & Managing Partner of the London office. He was also a member of the firm's three partner Executive group. He has worked on a wide array of transactions in energy, infrastructure and financial services. He was part of the mangement team whcih set up UK Green Investment Bank. Kenneth brings a wealth of corporate governance, legal and transactions experience to W1 Energy.
Mike is an oil & gas entrepreneur with a technical background who has over 35 years' experience in the sector. He founded and successfully exited Wimbledon Oil & Gas Ltd and has served as non-executive director for Fox Petroleum Inc., Rheochem PLC and Lochard Energy PLC. Mike's proven entrepreneurial and technical track record brings tremendous value to W1 Energy's plans for growth.
Dale R. Brown
Dale has 35 years’ experience in the industry spanning four continents. He has spent the majority of his career with Chevron taking up senior management roles in Angola, Bangladesh and USA. He has a proven track record of successfully managing reservoir assets and teams to increase production and reserves in both unconventional and conventional assets.
Martin is a geologist and chartered petroleum engineer with over 40 years of management and senior management experience in the energy sector. He is currently head of global operations at Fearnley Procter Group and has throughout his career has extensive international experience having worked in SE Asia, the Middle East and South America. He is experienced in operations, sales & marketing, financial management, contract negotiation, human resources, HSE and Quality Management. W1 Energy benefits from his strong operational track record in the industry. Martin is a Fellow of the Energy Institute.
Lamé was head of economics UKCS for E.ON Exploration & Production. At E.ON she was responsible for all commercial and economic evaluations requirements and mid-term planning cycles. She then moved on to Gaffney, Cline & Associates where she worked on reserves & resource assessments and competent person’s reports (CPR)for external clients. Lamé has an MBA from Imperial College Business School and attended the Corporate Finance Executive Programme at London Business School.
Jim was most recently a member of the technical team at Tethys Petroleum. He is a qualified geologist with strong operations experience. At Tethys Jim was responsible for all aspects of operations including researching new opportunities, competitor status, technical support during negotiations and detailed monitoring. Prior to Tethys Jim has a geologist of TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company with a focus on the UK North Sea. Jim brings strong technical and operational skills to W1 Energy.
Joel worked for Royal Dutch Shell PLC within Supply & Trading. He has international experience having worked on assignments in Australia, Europe and the US. Joel brings expertise in monetising E&P investments effectively through analysis of supply chains and trading finance arrangements.
